My comp and I thought this sign was so funny, from far away the cop looks a little like an alien. So we thought that you were supposed to watch out for Aliens. ha ha just a little joke for ya.

July 24

 Well happy pioneer day. Here it is just another day. We talked about pioneers this Sunday but today is just a regular day. This week again has flown by. WE have found another person who is ready for baptism. He just needs to pray about it but hasnt yet becuase he knows it is true and once he has that confomation there will be nothing holding him back.

My comp got an awesome book from his Grandparents its called Increase in Learning by Elder Bednar it is really good we have been using it in our personal study time in the mornings I think it has helped us with our teaching I think we have been able to reach people. I cant really explain it over email but I have learned alot from it,

I know I need to think about what I am going to do when I come home . I know I have better study habits now and I know I would do better in school. I was wondering about an auto mechanics program? I have heard they have an internship at the Harley Davidson Company in Orem. That would be my dream job. I get nervous about school but also nervous about waiting to long to get into school. So I will pray about it.

The pictures look great it sounds like everyone is doing good. Uncle Wayne is still Uncle Wayne. ha ha. so glad everyone is doing good. 

Well we are off to give ourselves hair cuts and do some laundry. Funny how we get so busy we dont have time to get a hair cut.  

For my birthday I want a purple tie with stripes on it. ha ha. and I really need some new garments. Other than that I will be fine.  Thanks for the money. I am getting good at budgeting but a little extra always helps.

July 17

 This week went by so fast.. Happy Birthday Ethan. I cant believe you are 14 that seems old. 

Wow so Brady had only 4 wisdom teeth he cant complain about anything until he has at least 7 or 8. JK so my picture is on his wall of fame. I always told you guys I was special.. Ha ha. 

So we have been so busy this week. I love that my comp loves to work. We have been needing a car because we have trouble getting to all our apts on time. We didnt even have time for our free slurpie on 7/11 that is something as missionaries we all look forward to. Anything that is free we are excited about.  The thing about the time going by so fast is that I know I will be so surprised when I look it will be Oct and my mission will be almost over. Right now I feel like I have so much to do and so little time. So basically my comp and I get up everyday and get as much done as possible. 

I hope Brady recovers fast. So when will he put his papers in? That is a cool story about the MTC praying for rain. Every boy in the valley should realize the power of missionary work and be excited to become one. Definatly a testimony builder.

So busy. So tired but so good.

July 10

 This week went by kinda slow. My new comp is from Texas and he loves Cajan food so we went over to a ward members house and they got take out from this place it was amazing. It is in New Port. It was a whole mound of food. We had crawdads shrimp clams and gumbo and gumbalia. Some of it was a little spicy for my taste but it was fun. I didnt try the clams. Sorry dad I know you love those but they smelled funny. Even all the spices couldnt kill that smell. The family that had us over took some pics so they might send them to ya. 

On the spiritual side we had a golden contact fall into our laps this month. She has wanted to be a member her whole life but didnt know how and was always to busy. She always felt good inside when she watched the churches commericals and when she say bits of the mormon tabernacle choir. She knew that someday she would be a member of that church. Cool huh.. Well we have a tenative date for her baptism already it is on the 28th. It would be awesome if it all works that fast. I always want to make sure she knows the doctrine though.

July 3

 So I am in Aliso Veijo. Its not a big jump for me just moved over a stake and a ward. The ward here is awesome for what the other Elders have said. It seems slow to me. It always seems like the area is slow then we get working and things pick up.  It seems like the people are home more often so it is easier to tract. Our last area people worked long hours and it was hard to catch people at home. 

My comp is really fun and funny. Its like living with a loony toon character. Its nice though cuz he wakes up in a good mood everyday. After some of my other comps this is great.  

That is so cool about Ellie swimming. I cant wait to take her swimming when I get home. I love swimming to so maybe she is like me a little bit. 

I cant believe that Ethan is going to be 14. That seems really old. So what are you guys doing for the 4th. We usually get invited to a members bbq. That is nice because it is alway such good food.

Well be safe and dont let dad blow anything up.

June 26

 Well I am for sure getting transfered. I dont know where yet. They always wait till the last minute to tell you. I spent the last couple of days saying good bye. This area has been amazing. I really want you to come meet these members they are amazing. Everyone asked me if I was thinking about going home since I only have 6 months left. It kinda scared me. I know how fast 6 months goes .Elder Oldham and I have gotten really close but we area both ready for a change. He is a pesky little bugger sometimes and I am tired of his jokes and his practical jokes. He is a great guy but we both know its time. Oh and by the way he wants to write Sheena. Red heads of the world unite. I think its funny he kept talking about making sure that red heads need to make red headed kids. so the red head population doesnt die out. kinda funny.

Well I will let you know where Im going next week.

 Happy Fathers Day  Dad. Sorry we dont get to call like mothers day I know mom gets all the good stuff. I miss you. That bike trip sounds fun. Its always fun to ride down the hill. Alot of people here are into biking they always ask us if we want to do a ride on our PDay. Honestly we spend so much time on our bikes we really dont think it is fun. Not until my mission did people think I was a biker. ha ha. Im still not. Well Pres Cook told me last week after the baptism I would probably get transffered so I know that is coming.  I love this are but I know its time for me to move on. 

Hey does Brady know Coby Peterson from baseball? He is in my apt. small world huh. He knows Brady. 

Granny and Pappa sent me a package and told me about his fishing trip to Alaska. sounds crazy..

So is Brady getting ready. I remember everyone telling me all I had to do to get ready. It gets kind of annoying but everyone is just trying to help. So I will just give a little advice. Study all you can. The more prepared the better missionary you will be. 

Pray for me this week. you know how I worry about transfers. I cant believe its been that hot. Its nice here in Cali.
